Psychologists have studied from perspective of what happens when we lack strong, secure attachment. We have a tendency to look at abnormal vs normal . Hard to get quantifiable data from studying intimacy. Argument that love is not a scientific topic leave it to writers. Love can become a scientific topic psychological process. Federal government and politicians don"t think this is a good thing to spend tax money on, but understanding serial refugees and adaptation seems more relevant so more money pumping into that. Not much money given to researchers to study this, so harder to study this without the funding. End up not doing research in the area. Research in the area of love is underrepresented. Knowledge is power, and we don"t know much about this. Weighting pros and cons for a romantic relationship.
