When the murder rate is less than 5 per 100,000 we consider to be a relatively peaceful society (canada, japan) As it gets close to 5 considered more aggressive, us has the 7 and is the highest number of murders in western society. Some countries are around 20; el salvador is 68; considered to be a violent society, don"t have their own categories; considered unique in terms of aggression. Categories are 5, 10, 15 per 100,000; countries around 20 are considered very high (i. e. russia) According to the un office on drugs and crime 2014, the odds of being murdered in: Honduras is 1 in 1,00 the world"s most violent country. Singapore is 1 in 480,000 the worlds least violent country. International odds of being murdered is 1 in 16,000 (varies widely form country to country) Usa: gun related violence and it tends to involve individuals rather than a group (ethnic group)
