Ex. asked observers to identify objects which appeared either in their normal colours or inappropriate colours & the result was that observers recognized the appropriately coloured objects more rapidly and accurately. The white light was a mixture of differently coloured lights and that the prism separated the white light into its individual components. Second prism did not change the colour appearance of any light that passed through it (meaning individual colours of the spectrum are not mixtures of other colours) Believed prisms separated differently coloured light particles.
