Parietal cortex involved in attention: damage causes: Neglect not seeing one side, almost if attention is caught on one side. Damage to one pathway doesn"t necessarily afect the other: ex. Other colours we see are results of mixtures. Chromatic colour red, green, blue, etc. everything we see as colour. Achromatic colour grey, black, white, etc. everything lacking colour: white = all of the diferent wavelengths, all light, equal amounts of each, grey = all wavelengths of light, but not as much light from them. Hue most closely related to wavelength chroma. Brightness related to amplitude (bright green = high amplitude/high peaks+valleys in the wave, pale green = mid-height peaks+valleys) Saturation purity of the colour: saturated colour pure monochromatic light (1 wavelength, desaturated colours (mixture of wavelengths) Red + white light (equal amounts of blue, yellow, green, etc. ) pink) Diferent times = diferent types of wavelengths: midday = blue, later day = pinkish.
