Infants (6 months) habituate to a video of a red block colliding with a green block: the green block is launched immediately or is delayed . 5 seconds, reverse the event sequence in the video. No change in looking ime for delayed condiion. Inanimate and animate causality: 7 month old infant. Physical interacion between to inanimate objects (a and b) involves contact followed by movement (object a pushes object b) Physical interacion between two people involves each person having independent ability to iniiate moion. Infants look longer at a no contact physical event, than a no contact people event. Intenional stance: tendency to atribute mental causes (ex. desires, beliefs and goals) to an object based upon the object"s acion, tremoulet and feldman. Adults atribute animate acion to objects that change orientaion when they change direcion (b) Are infants sensiive to human-like acions of objects: infants (12 months) habituate to an animated mother-child interacion between two moving circles prevented from connecing .
