A trait defined by the seeking of varied, novel, complex and intense sensation and experiences: thrill and adventure seeking, experiences seeking, disinhibition, boredom-susceptibility. Study: relationships between introversions, openness to experience and how they contribute to the sensation seeking trait. Extraversion and openness are also strongly correlated. Extraversion and openness facets are strongly related to sensation seeking. Made up of excitement seeking, fantasy and action facets, account for 85% o higher and lower sensation seekers. Main finding: extroversion and 2 of openness of experience were the most related to sensation seeking! Ie: electrical changes in facial muscles from smiling are greater in those with a sense of humor.
