Dimensions of social inequality (final exam material: people often talk of inequality as if it were determined solely by money, socio-economic status is a composite measure of social position that considers also power, occupational prestige and schooling. Schooling: determines almost everything, teachers back in the days could not be married (females, later-on, when they got pregnant they had to quit, big relationship between money and education. The upper class: upper-uppers don"t have to work as they have inherited money as their source of income, lower-uppers working rich . Accumulated some wealth due to local universities, etc.
