It affects fictionalized media to change the perception of the public as to how we solve crime and has affected outcome in the real world. One of the most effective medium is television. They have particular expectations as to how something is resolved and will have doubt because they believe that it is done incorrectly. Certain states are allowed to ask jurors if they watch tv and this determines if they are chosen. Defined (sociologically): fictional stories (which have been said to have disclaimers). Public has an i dea as to how things are solved. Assumption there are no mistakes or human error. Equipment and training: they have it all and do it all (testing) Always get the right person and they always confess. Police are expected to get more evidence. Juries have to look through an excess amount of tests. Forensic scientists are backlogged because there is a lot more work and not enough scientists.
