Full parole: conditional release; must report regularly to po officer: eligible after serving lesser of 1/3 of sentence or 7 years. Day parole: community-based activities; prep for full parole: sentence > 2 years: can apply six months prior to full parole eligibility, or after serving 6 months (whichever is greater, life sentence: parole eligibility is after 25 years. Temporary absences: inmate will not present undue risk during the absence; medical, administrative, community service, family contact, parental responsibility, personal development, or compassionate reasons. Escorted temporary absence (eta): along or with group; escorted by officers; limited duration. Unescorted temporary absence (uta): unaccompanied by csc; limited duration; maximum security not eligible. Work releases: structured program of work or community service; supervised; those eligible for uta may apply. Gradual, supervised released demonstrated to help offenders remain law-abiding citizens.
