Gangs teach you how to do things. Diferenial associaion teaches you how to become a criminal. Intensity: respect for the source (3) cloward & ohlin. Opportunity structure: job market is the problem. Lower classes: lose to middle class = status frustraion ---> subculture (4) albert cohen. Poorly educated = cannot compete with mc kids.
