Media arts- what substances/ technology are you using to convey a message (tool of communication) Interested in the meanings: how are things meaningful, how do we make these things meaningful, and what do meanings mean? how to some meanings mean more than others. Why do we all see a particular type of person in sitcoms why does that matter etc. Form of each medium- particular way it packages & transmits its content- has a unique effect on the content and meaning of its messages. Generates curiosity on what its about/ gateway to issue. Nomadic medium (helps you remember it easier) Able to mass connect by connecting to a mass form. Effect on the medium as a user- get caught up in it as an object instead of a representation of a person.
