An icon of feminist art which represents 1,038 women in history 39 represented by place setting, 999 names inscribed on heritage floor. It is comprised of a triangular table divided by 3 wings, each 48 feet long. The place settings look sort of like the work of georgia o"keefe looks like vaginas. The women range from fictional goddesses to historical figures. I think we are all educated to be frightened of female power [ ] i don"t think you should be upset with yourself for feeling that way, but for the culture that made it that way . Judith is included on the table (in cloth: her name is slashed with a sword which represents the weapon used to kill holofernes. The dinner party" takes women"s history from ww11, but also teaches a lot about the 70s. Chicago said critics slammed her for making nothing but vaginas on plates .
