Tragic choices: choices where we cannot help but perform a moral wrong. Ex: anigone (duies to family vs. duies to the state) No mater what she decides, she will be doing something wrong and she cant avoid choosing. Nussbaum: no mater what you do, you cannot lead a perfect life. Nussbaum: no cost-beneit analysis cant answer the tragic choice/quesion what is the point of the tragic quesion. Shows we may owe reparaions ater the fact. Point of tragedy can show us that there are deep conlicts between diferent spheres of life. The more enitlements there are, more opportuniies for tragedy o ex: right to educaion, right to security lomoar cpsd| 987298. The more we have, the more opportuniies of conlict we have between the two.
