ALL organization exists to provide goods or services to society. When the organization is a business, it

Organization Theory
Max Weber, a German sociologist (1864-1920), described organizations as bureaucracies. According to
Weber, the ideal organization is a hierarchy with strong lines of authority and control. He believed that
an organization is more efficient when each person within the organization works on specialized tasks.
