There is no fishery stock that isn"t exploited or crashed. Shifting baselines fish are getting small, much higher fishing m ortality rate so adaption kicks in that fish start reproducing younger and have a smaller life span. Prey switching to serial depletion , predators will target a new species until the stock becomes degraded . same with us (fishers) as the predator, if one fish goes out of stock then we fish down the food chain.
