Bleaching: disrupting natural coral and killing it. Global warming harms the coral reefs too because as temperature rises, the algae leaves the coral. If gone for one year, the coral dies. Coral balances the ecosystem and is seen to be the rainforest of the sea. Sea squirts are the oldest animal with a spine that is known to man. They are resistant, therefore they are being harvested and used as a potential cure for cancer. The period between ice ages is about 10,000 years. There may not have been one recently due to the industrial revolution. El nino: comes every year at christmas. Temperatures change and shift the entire circulation pattern.
