Status and salary changed in canada become a middle class job used to be an entry-level job. Standards have also increased and they are looking to recruit certain types of people. Training tends to have more narrow focus & applied focus. What you learn are specific skills & knowledge for job (disarming people, high speed chases etc. ) Education not been emphasized a great deal. Still low educational level to be a police officer min requirement (need gr. 12 education but need to be age of 21) but it is generally difficult to get a job like that, usually want some more education.
