Rewards of hedonism include; material gain, psychological gain, pleasure, satisfaction, social approval, costs include; physical injury, restitution, stigma, shame, loss of freedom. The perfect version of this particular crime: what is the offender"s personal database, their experience, knowledge of area, victim, savvy , what do i know as the profiler, that it looks like the offender did not know. Another important factor is the offender"s planning capacity. We want to know, what the offender knows that we do not. The crime as it actually occurred, departs from the perfect version because of the offender"s personal database, planning capacity, impulse control and hidden hedonism .
