Approaches to Conflict (Styles)!
-Johari’s Window!
-How much do we know about each other/ourselves?!
-Dierence between self description and the way other people describe us !

-Blind spot = secrets we prefer not to disclose to the world !
-Facade = things people know about us, but we dont personally understand !
-Unknown = things that are hidden within ourselves that we dont know and other
people dont know, shows up in crisis !
-Significance = all of the ways of figuring out conflict styles involve you sitting down
and self rapport !
Conflict Style Models: social science models; they are not describing 4-5 types of
people, they are describing 4-5 extreme types of behaviour and how individuals
participate in the types of behaviours !

-Thomas Kilman Conflict Modes !
-Rahim and Magner Conflict Styles !

-Middle of the Road: trying to figure it out !
-Then tweaked for dealing with conflict: Five Primary Conflict Styles (how important
the relationship is to you, relationship vs issue) Thomas Kilman !
