Idea was to have fast train as a corridor between montreal and toronto (275 mph) Train hit passenger train and caught fire: crashed because it was going too fast, cant put that train on the same track as other trains tracks weren"t upgraded to fit the train. Industrial revolution: from late 18th century in the united kingdom and spreads from there. Technological advancements: the steam engine: helped jump start the revolution.
