Planning can implement or shape land use believe they can make biggest change. Planners a unifying idea (good for a profession) sustainability, but since sustainability is broad people who aren"t environmentally driven can add into idea without really caring about environment (greenwashing) Only looked at it with land use and infrastructure. Amenity: housing prices will go up, value of land will increase. Eco-gentrification results will go up; the gentrification (pricing people out of the city)- the people that u drive out are the ones that use more transportation than the richer ones moving in. Leading to condo-living can be a good implication: density conclusions: Density likely necessary but not sufficient to produce sustainability. When we densify, we are creating a particular kind of city with specific social structure.
