Related to transmission of energy, can think of this as a electromagnetic energy, energy comes from that heated up fire, wavelength of energy coming out from that body. Depending on wavelength, diff types of energy being released, can relate this to spectrum. Wavelengths that sun emits, emits 200 to 2500 nanometer. The amount of energy it emits in each of these wavelengths, each wavelengths has certain amount of energy that comes from the sun. Black body radiator (sun) emits certain amount of energy that comes down to and part of that goes into the ground and part of it is used by molecules in the atmosphere. Where there"s an intensity at 90 degrees is much more than (cid:886)(cid:887) degrees. Idea is that throughout the year, the sun will be lower in horizon during the winter and higher in horizon in the summer, so getting different amounts of heat.
