In parliamentary you have to be na mp to be in cabinet. The president is not dependent on parliament to stay in power. Seperate power so they can check and balance eachother. President has to rely on congress to pass shit. Must work with the other party to get legislation through. If youre in one of the houses you can stay in power for a long time. Hybrid/semi presidential = combo of parliamentary and presidential. President elected indirectly by the people through the electoral college. Each state is given a certian number of ec votes. Ec votes is based on how many seats that state has in the house of reps and their two senators. Exp cali has 53 house of rep seats + 2 senators therefore they have 55 votes for the ec.
