All about how many items you answer correctly in a given period of time. Theres sufficient time given but not everyone is going to be able to answer every item because some items are hard. Needs to be different items of different difficulty. Every time you answer a question right, it gives you a hard question. If you answer the harder question wrong, it brings you back down one. Until you get a test that adapts to your true intelligence. You get more points for getting harder items correct. Gives us a more precise estimate for the latent score and it does so in fewer items. Doesn"t have to be used with questions with only right or wrong answers. ***couldn"t finish charts below but person a got more points because they answered more of the harder questions correctly compared to person b.
