Both presume is a secondary motive, product of primary motive (eg. mother infant bond- primary) Freud -> form love connection with mother b/c she is providing sexual gratification. Behaviourist -> no real such things as a emotional attachment, primary survival needs are met by big person , show favoritism to big person because taking care of you, not emotional just knowing there is a delivery person . Harry love is primary biological needs, as much as any surivival need.
