Therefore, psychologists in this school of thought believe that the child forms the bond with the mother in order to satisfy sexual gratification: behaviourist: Believe that the primary biological need is survival. Believe that the secondary emotional need is attachment. Therefore, psychologists in this school of thought believe that the child forms the bond with the mother because the food and nurturance of the mother aids in the child"s ability to survive.
