No particular reason to be experiencing generalized anxiety disorder. This order starts off extremely gradually and plateaus: more susceptible with anxiety, more frequent in women. Irrational fear and disproportionate to the threat that is actually present. Fear is an intense form of anxiety. Intense anxiety: no specific target stimulus that proves the anxiety. Agoraphobia: fear of the marketplace, fear of seeing multitudes of people. Panic disorder and agoraphobia are treated differently. Thoughts that create anxiety, these thoughts are intrusive (imposing) Often reflect real dangers such as contamination, security, safety. Urges to engage in ritualistic behaviour to release anxiety. Compulsion is related to the intrusive thought ie cleaning- Anger and guilt bring upon these emotions. Anxiety to sensitivity: tend to respond with fear more often that other. Aversive stimulus take action and eradicate it. Anxious people vs non people see doctor example- actually doctor check her growth anxious people think she"s growing a tumor- threat whereas non think she"s getting bigger.
