Early psychologists who started his work in the early 1900s and was still active in the 1950s. Rather than doing experiments, piaget developed his theory by actually playing with children. Based on what they did, he would design theories about how they develop. He proposed that there were stages of development, which is one of the controversial aspects of his theory. A way to think about the world, to understand the world. Piaget argues that in each of the stages, there is one type of way of thinking about the world that is the dominate schema; the way to think about the world at that point.
