Document Summary

The lens focus the light rays on the retina, which is at the back of the eye. Fovea point of central focus, where we see the best. Optic nerve goes back to the brain takes signals from retina and transmits to the brain. 3 cells make up the retina 3 cells thick. Pupil - closest to the outside is ganglion cell then next layer in you have bipolar cells. The layers, which are further from where the light is coming from, are known as visual processors (rod (green) responsible for black and white vision & cone (big) responsible for color vision). That"s why you see color well in the center and not the side/corner. They are behind because they are sensitive and can get fried so they light has to go through a couple layers to keep it from being so strong to getting it damage.
