Summarize the media and talk about the developmental topic. Would have to know what they are doing to know that certain things are funny. What they have to do to understand. Developmental psych, human development and developmental science. Both scientific and applied study of children. How it changes or doesn"t change with age. Physical: changes in brain and body. Cognitive: changes of thought process and intellectual abilities. Theories: set of statements that describe, explain and predict behavior: framework of making observations, depends on scientific verification. Darwin"s theory of evolution (19th c: adaptivness of physical characteristics and behaviors, survival of the fittest. Konrad lorenz: imprinting as basis for attachments. Time period: critical period of development.
