Heritability does not inform about % contributions to individual, just to variance in. Immutability = unable to be changed genes, it is saying that the proportion of variance in the iq of the population is determined by similarities and differences in their genes. Heritability score applies to particular group in particular environment at particular time - ex. High heritability does not imply immutability ex. Low heritability does not imply non-inherited or little genetic contribution ex. Environmental effects proportion of variance not attributed to genetics (cid:523)if it"s not related to genes, it"s somehow related to environment) Shared environmental effects (from sharing the same family, even if adopted) to. Ses, education level of parents, similar experiences, e. t. c. all do the same things (ex. with peers); ex. Gender differences, age of parents, different treatment, birth order (only one kid is oldest and one is youngest) toes. No correlation with personality and psychopathology in adopted siblings and only.
