Structural the basic idea says that"s somehow in society there are structures in place that deprive people of opportunities. It is possible to look and see that people from underprivileged less well to do areas or families, don"t have the same opportunities as those coming from wealth and privilege. Ex financial backing, getting a good education, less stimulation in their world. Sub-culture things were people learn of because of their subcultural group. The idea is essentially one of different norms or different values. If a group norm is one of toughness and dominance, you are more likely to engage in violence because the group norms say that is what is needed to get ahead. People are naturally self serving and anti-social unless they are taught otherwise. People need to be taught to constraint their behaviour in a pro-social way. Biological there can be inherit factor that contribute to criminal tendencies.
