Sandler, l. & witteman, k. none is enough. Leisure plays a role as we go through life"s stages, although it varies depending on where we are in our journey. There is a general sense of the chronological ages associate with each stage. There is a shift occurring that in western societies people are progressing through each stage more slowly. Life has changed someone what dramatically for women in last thirty to fifty years. Women are attending post secondary education at higher rates then men. Because of the post secondary education, family life is being delayed or not having children at all. In the past women would marry and start a family right out of high school.
