Girls who develop earlier = no more problems with self-esteem/academics, fewer behavioural problems than later-developing peers. Earlier boys develop, more positive their body image, the better they do in school, less trouble they get into, more friends they have. Girls = attain most of their adult height by 16. Boys = grow until they are 18-20.
