Parental alienation: what is parental alienation, coined by richard garnder (1985, the unjustifiale campaign of denigration by child and aligned parent against the alienated parent. From the perspective of the child: campaign of denigration, weak/absorb rationalizations. Lack of ambivalence: children aren"t cognitively mature and they need parents in their development and they tend to buy into the argument and they believe that dad are bad and mom are good. Independent thinker : they think they are the independent thinker", therefore they think themselves that one parent is good and another one aren"t. Disfranchised fathers: fathers in the court systems that finding they don"t have the custody rights of their children. Bottom layers: affinity, child have a great level of comfort and their parenting style is more in line with the child (personality, temperament, gender, age, parenting style) development and child is like one parent more than the other. Middle layers: realistic estrangement (poor parenting, mental, illness, pd, abuse, dv)
