Physical effects health problems diseases, tearing, abrasions somatization effects stress reactions that manifest as physical symptoms psychological cause. Post-traumatic reliving the events detachment, avoidance system shuts down to protect itself, cant care anymore. Inter-personal effects affects relationships impaired trust feeling alone, isolated people don"t understand. People don"t care very common esp. regarding abuse within family increased vulnerability and tendency to be re-victimized people who have been victimized tend to become very sexual promiscuous. Only time people value me low self esteem, isolated, someone will use them again familiar to them difficulty with intimacy partners, children sexual dysfunctions.
