Central canada = dominant area (wealth, most population mass etc) Feminists = canadas dominant culture is male (hoc and parliament) Other factors to de ning the dominant culture include: Minority cultures - fall outside the cultural mainstream. Countercultures - groups that feel the power of the dominant culture and exist in opposition. Subcultures - different but not opposed to the mainstream culture. Subcultures have a more neutral contrast than countercultures.
