Lunar landscaping artists ltd. (lunar) is a landscaping company that designs and plants landscape plans using large plants/bushes. All of the plants/bushes that lunar uses cost each. Lunar has two types of customers, commercial and residential. Lunar had 100 commercial clients in 2003 that used a total of 40,000 plants. The laborers" standard rate of pay is /hour plus extra for weekend work. During 2003, the laborers worked 20,000 regular hours and 4,000 hours during the weekends. Commercial clients used 60% of the regular hours and 900 weekend hours in 2003. The plants for each job are driven from the supplier"s warehouse to the job site using a half-ton truck. The truck can only transport 20 plants at one time. The design engineers and supervisors are paid very well because they are in such high demand and lunar doesn"t want to lose them.
