About 29% of the energy of the sun reflects off into space. 23% energy is absorbed into atmosphere and radiated as heat. More snow more ice more albedo (snow and ice have high reflectance) More clouds more albedo (clouds have high reflectance) Albedo has quite an impact on climate change. Today, we are trying to engineer more clouds to increase albedo. As earth"s ice is melting, there is less albedo (less ice, less reflectance), therefore there would be more absorption of radiation (global warming) The process that all plants use to grow.
