Shows an emotional change in the characters. Characters never talk or talk in indirect dialogue. Too much telling instead of showing summarizing. Summary and scene are methods of treating time in fiction. A summary covers a relatively long periodof time in a relatively short compass; a scene deals at length with a relatively short period of time. Bob and alice get undressed and chat about their day as they ready to go to bed.
