Lane interface (activate and make it more friendly) Public open space, local programming, understanding regional requirements. Go to the water, no public squares yet. Special landscape, important character to define, know how exactly want to design the street. West side of vancouver, between maple st, 12th avenue. Series of low-, mid-rise buildings, open system. Drawing prepared by 2 architects, said low-, mid-rise scale townhouses can be densed. High street (3~4 blocks of shopping street, north-south orientation) Permeable frontage (breaking big buildings up to smaller buildings and allows the break of buildings to be semi public, and central greenway. We were able to actually build the building as we wished.
