FMST 238 Lecture Notes - Lecture 16: Human Capital, Human Resources
Document Summary
Families are the primary source of providing basic human needs in most societies. Provision of/support for these needs is also a requirement of the state in order to maintain healthy and able populations. The needs and structures of families and societies change over time. Even as families take on diverse forms, they still remain the primary stabilizing force and providers of care for individuals in society. Human resources include all the capabilities (skills, talents, and abilities) that contribute to achieving goals and responding to demands. Education, training, practice enhance human resources and are factors in measuring human capital.
