Accurate but somewhat invasive you can cause perforation and sever infection if baby is sleeping let the baby sleep. 85% of parents reported awakening their child from sleep to give antipyretics for fever. Measuring can create fever phobia in parents. How the baby is sleeping and eating is way more important than the number of the fever. 15% of parents give supra-therapeutic doses of acetaminophen (apap) or ibuprofen.
