Often involves the glands found around the eyelid. 1% of all primary care visits (us) are related to conjunctivitis. 70% of people with acute conjunctivitis present to primary care. Vision changes block spots of halos. Mild light sensitivity or girrintess is normal do(cid:374)"t refer. Pearl pupil equal and reactive to light. Enterovirus, coxsackievirus, vzv, hsv, epstein-barr virus, influenza: spreads via direct contact. However, antibiotic treatment = quicker recovery (10% increase in rate of clinical improvement), reduction in transmissibility, and earlier return to school.
