To be able to identify first, second and third generation antipsychotics. M1 : dry mouth, urinary retention, blurred vision, constipation alpha-1 : blood pressure, dizziness, drowsiness. Day 6: 25 mg am, 50 mg hs. Day 24: 100 mg am, 200 mg hs. Risperidone lai day 1: 25 mg + 21 days of oral risperidone. After at least 4 months with pp1m (last two doses should be the same). Target receptors : h1, alpha-1, m1, 5-ht 2a , pd2 (partial d2 agonist) Aripiprazole lai day 1: 400 mg + 14 days of oral aripiprazole. To understand the effects of agonizing and antagonizing various receptors associated with antipsychotics. Side effects ( antagonist ): eps, negative symptoms, endocrine effects ( prolactin levels), sexual dysfunction. Therapeutic effect ( partial agonist ): antidepressant and anxiolytic action, reduction in eps. Therapeutic effect ( antagonist ): reduces eps, improves negative symptoms. Side effects ( agonist ): agitation, anxiety, eps, sexual dysfunction, insomnia, cognitive dulling, akathisia.
