Albert einstein: politics is more difficult than physics. Government action (closed) / competition for power / all human interaction (open) ***course will focus on competition for, and exercise of power. How is power structured in the canadian state, how canadians compete for power. We have personal freedoms, but not federal powers. How power used to occur is not the same as it was before. A method of making people do what you want. Neither good nor bad, it is a means to an end. Exercise of power occurs within constantly changing social, political and economic environment. Coercion: you listen due to the threat of force.
