Political ideology: comprises the basic values held by an individual about the fundamental goals of politics regarding freedom and equality: more universal, assume that there is one ideal way to balance freedom and equality. Liberalism: the state is for protecting negative liberties to allow the individual to flourish in the private sphere (low autonomy, low (??) capacity) Capitalism: letting people be entrepreneurs so people could generate more revenue/benefit for society. The state should not hinder people from pursuing their own wellbeing (which will in turn benefit society) Protecting the lives of citizens and protecting property rights: in order for people to be more productive. The state is a necessary evil but we should try to keep it in check so that it doesn"t intervene/hinder our own personal freedom.
