Both brothers etecl s and polyneices kill each other. Creon buried etecl s with honor and left polyneices to rot, saying anyone who buried him would be stoned to death. Because etecl s ruled the city and polyneices came back from exile and cause problems. Antigone wants to burry him, but ismene said she will not help she will follow the orders. Creon has put some in charge of the body and asks the chorus not to side with anyone who disobeys his law. Antigone buries polyneices and performs the ceremony so he is not cursed. Creon says if the watchmen don"t find who did this he will blame and kill them. Creon says he wont kill her and just to go back to her room. She says she knew he said not to do it and it was his saying not the gods so. Ismene wants to die with her sister but antigone doesn"t want.
