Master of the scholarly sound bite in islam, god is caesar; in china and japan, caesar is god; in orthodoxy, god is caesar"s junior partner. Recent events seem in sync w/ huntington"s assertions. Universally, represented optimism, versus skepticism, or downright cynicism. Huntington saw the world as being an acrimonious place. We are seeing a decline in american power, and european power. The world is catching up economically and militarily. Huntington says there is a decline of the west. What does american need to do internally, to buttress itself in a world that is becoming more acrimonious.
