Broad theme of course: tying back to key emphasis. Morally motivated violence can still be interpreted as criminal. So it is not about the perpetrator, himself or herself, but the audience. Based on how the audience responds will affect the cost/benefit calculus of violence. Will have more success, or less success, based on audience and perpetrated reaction. Boundary violence used to rectify the wrongs that they perceive in the world. (they = perpetrator) This particular event is a threat to these particular boundaries. We can see how media plays into it, and how it plays up certain acts of violence, based on how it threatens the boundaries. Bc of failure of congress parties to acknowledge the sikh minority. Obvious way - seems like ethnic violence, really. But there"s actualy way more complexity to it.
